Stitchly Threads began with a spark — a single embroidery machine, a computer, and a bold dream tucked away in a humble basement back in 2002. Founded by Jeff and Wenda Taxdahl, the company was born from a moment of transition: Jeff, with a background in marketing, had just stepped away from the corporate world, while Wenda was working as a graphic artist.

By 2005, that dream had stitched itself into reality with the launch of their first eCommerce site. It was also the year Wenda took a leap of faith, leaving behind the comfort of her “real job” to join Jeff full-time in building something they both believed in.

From those early days, Stitchly Threads has grown far beyond its basement roots. Today, we operate in a spacious facility housing over 60 embroidery heads and a dedicated team of more than 28 talented individuals. Each year, we proudly ship hundreds of thousands of custom-embroidered products to customers across the country — helping brands, teams, and organizations bring their logos to life with precision and care.

Through recessions, pandemics, and the everyday challenges of running a small business, Stitchly Threads has remained resilient. And through it all, Jeff and Wenda have built not just a company, but a life — raising two amazing children and celebrating over 30 years of marriage. As they often say, “We’ve been truly blessed.”

Jeff also channels his love for nostalgia into a side project: Mug Hunter, a curated collection of vintage and collectible coffee mugs for fellow treasure seekers.
